1. How isn't Al Gore getting rich from pushing his agenda? He had a hit movie and a hit book.

2. I'm one of those "greenies" and "granola crunchers". I also happen to enjoy science and I don't tend to jump to conclusions that haven't been proven by the scientific method. I see melting ice and I think "why is this ice melting?" not "how are we causing this ice to melt?".

I think any human being who thinks that people are the sole purpose for the climate changing is incredibly arrogant.

I also think the climate has changed hundreds, if not thousands, of times over the course of the planet. This isn't new, just the latest.

It's certainly happening, and satan didn't bury fossils in the ground to trick us.

But i'm not convinced that it isn't, in a large part, a natural process.

Now that's where you're wrong, ya see. We learnt that at our trip to the Creation Museum.

Haha. Yes, the Creation Museum was very informative. Two words: floating forests.

I think the environment is important . . . however I will not buy an expensive hybrid or lil smart car (sorry I can't hook my horse trailer to one.

And as someone who works in the Dairy Industry I'm concerned with the environmentalists killing the Industry. The EPA makes dairy farmers pay so much freaking money because of "Cows farts" killing the ozone and manures might if it floods enough leak into a few creeks and rivers (as if people throwing beer cans in and deer pissing in them isn't polluting as well). Recently they sent out a form saying they need to figure out how much manure their dairy produces and if they make so much they have to pay a tax . . . plus they had something like 3-4 days to turn it in or they would get a HUGE fine. They also want to "regulate farm dust" as if that's possible. To me they just go over the top.

I think protecting the environment is important, keeping lakes and rivers clean, keeping highways clean and all that jazz but . . . some people go over the top and get the light bulbs and go out of their way to get a new car . . . I think it's just becoming a trend (one Al Gore is banking on and doesn't really follow through himself - which if he did, maybe some could take him more seriously)
